Basketball tournament~~

last week my daughter brittany went to a basketball tournament up in Manistee Michigan...she stayed in a hotel with the whole basketball team...she said it was a lot of fun and she really enjoyed it. She is not sure how many games they won or lost, but it doesn't really matter because she had a lot of fun!!!! Go OV cardinals!!!!

Cedar Point!!!!

tomorrow the girls and i are going to cedar point...we are all very excited. we will arrive sometime in the afternoon and then go into the water park, then to the park on tuesday and wednesday and then back home. We are staying right in the park at the sandcastle suites...i can't wait. it is going to be a lot of fun. the boys will be staying home because kaden has hockey camp and football starts monday so the boys will be very busy while we are gone.

Kid Rock!!!!

Dan and I went to DTE Energy complex on Tuesday in Detroit and saw Kid Rock with Rev Run (Run DMC) and Uncle Kracker. We went with our friends Chris Dean and his fiancee; Angiel.. Kid Rock was awesome! He played for over two hours then Rev Run came out and they played for about 45 minutes and then Kid played another 1/2 hour and then added two enchore songs...he just kept playing and playing...the place was rocking!!! Lots of music, good drinks!!!!!, and lots of sweet smells in the air!!! Anyway, then Dan and i drove to Detroit and then Ann Arbor. We did alot. I will post more later...

Like father like son....

I thought it was really cute when we went camping how Kaden was trying to be like daddy. He was of course eating like dad, but he would do everything...from trying to start a fire, to swimming, to even "meat gazing" on the women on the beach...he is so his fathers son!!!Love them both a ton!!!

Weekend

my mom is here visiting from California...she definately brought the warm humid weather with here. today, we are going to the duck lake to swim in the water and relax...she will be leaving tomorrow morning...boo hoo...anyway, here are some pictures...

Whitneys Birthday!!!!

Whitney turned 11 on July 18th!!!! Happy birthday to you sweetie...she is now "preteen" and going into middle school this year!!!!(yikes). Whitney had a Hawaiian themed birthday party... the girls had a lot of fun!!! They played hula hoop games; pass the coconut, musical towels, they had a pinata, danced the hula, and ring the hoop...it was a lot of fun!!!

Camping!!!

This week we drove the distance...to Hoffmaster State Park...and took the family camping.. we had a great time. we used my in-laws motorhome (which was great) and we had probably the best spot in the park. We were right next to the creek and the walkway to the beach. It was a blast. The kids rode bikes, swam (lake michigan was 70 degrees) played in the waves and had some good campfires..to top it off; they watched a movie every night on the dvd/tv in the motorhome.. they didn't rough it by no means, and that was why it was so much fun!!!!

Chad and Amy and Vinnie were there camping also; two spots down from us so we hung out a lot together...

my garden

Well, it is half way there and my garden is doing really good! I have actual plants and things growing on the plants.... the bunnies have eaten all the flowers surrounding the garden, but it is ok...i am pretty impressed as this is my first year with a garden!!!

Update on the car...

Its Totalled...no fixing it. The frame is bent and it would cost 2500.00 to fix (scroll down for pictures) ...might as well get a new car..first we now have to get our job...momma pays for one car and one car only...

The beach...again...!!

to the beach again...this time it was for the sandcastle contest...whitney and kiersten won third place for their sandcastle...my picture had the sun in the middle of it so it didn't turn out...Gina and Sarah made a turtle..it looked really good...the older kids just kind of laid out in the sun and soaked it all up... The Accident....

Well.....sad to say but Brittany's first car is now no longer. She was in an accident Friday night around 7:45pm. I was on my way home from work and i received the call to come and get her. She was on her way to Summer celebration and apparently hit another car. She hit the explorer and it tipped and went onto its side. Good thing no one was hurt. The car is totalled. It was towed to the place we bought it from to see how much it would cost to repair, if it can be repaired at all....more later...

After the beach....

After the beach we went to the Marble Slab and got some ice cream...then we went to the imagination station in Grand Haven and the kids had a blast...it was really crowded so we had to wait our turn on things which made the kids impatient and want to go...anyway, we had a good day...then we came home and Dan was the grill chef and made some juicy grilled steak with homemade fries...perfect way to end the day....

The Beach!!!

It has been a while since i blogged...we have been extremely busy...on this past monday we took the kids to Grand Haven state park and played at the beach, on the pier, and climbed the rocks. it was a lot of fun. We ate Greek at Dans friends restaurant..Teddy Koziak. The kids had a lot of fun. Playing in the water...it was really cold!!!
