Well, the time has approached us...it is school clothes shopping time...today i took the girls shopping with my good friends Andi, Trisha and Alicia....the girls had fun, but have no patience in waiting if there is nothing at the store we were at...so...i told them to get the heck away from me and go..they did, they bought with their own money, and the day was good. We had lunch with our friends Joel and Tracy Robinson and their two sweeties...it was great fun!!!! Alecia was like a kid in a candy store when she bought her coach purse...you had to have been there. all for all it was a good day, except that i had some girls with attitudes and we left early. Thanks to my friends for putting up with us and its on for next year!!!!

6th grade orientation....ugh...

UGH!!!! well, this is it...the sixth grade orientation...my baby girl is growing up and attempting to be a teenager...this, i believe, is the last day of the rest of my life....examples:

"mom...don't do that, it is embarrassing"

"mom...stop singing, and don't sing in front of my friends; its embarrassing"

"mom...your not really going to wear that are you? it is so, you know, makes you look old"

"mom...stop acting that way, you are embarrassing me, what if someone saw me with you while you were acting like that"

"mom...come on...everyone elses moms let them do it"

there are a few examples...oh middle school...the time to humiliate your daughter just to let her know that you still love her to pieces...(she still cuddles with me on the couch)(but don't tell any of her friends, because that is just like so not cool!!!)

Kadens birthday party!!!

Last week on August 14th, Kaden Robert Churchill turned the big 6!!!! For his birthday he was given the present of going to Mackinaw Island. When we got home he had a family birthday party and will be getting his motorbike for his birthday. He is very excited and had a great birthday.

This past week we went to Mackinaw Island...we did a lot...we were gone for three days and had a blast..we of course got our fudge, ate ice cream, did a lot of walking, walked the fort, rode bikes around the whole island, stopped for tourists crap, went through a haunted house, walked around a lot of horse poop...it was fun...the kids had a great time...it was Kadens 6th birthday on thursday so that was a good present for him...

Stacey's wedding....

One of my best friends, Stacey, was married on August 16 aboard the Port City Princess. It was a beautiful wedding, and a wonderful occassion as she deserves so much to be happy... she looked absolutely beautiful and glowing. It is about time she married this guy..his name is Shawn. He is a great guy and loves her very much..he was so attentive to her the whole night..he really cares for her and it shows...you would have thought they were the only ones around..it was definately a night of LOVE!!!



My friend, Jody, from high school...we graduated together and the only time i really ever see her is when she brings one of her kids into the ER... she is a great person and it was great to see her.

Football time!!!!

Kaden began football a few weeks ago..Dan is one of his coaches (actually Dan is the defensive coach)... Kaden is getting better every time he goes to practice. He is learning the "rules" of the game and learning plays...he is doing really well....we are very proud of him....

The Olympics!!!

The 2008 Summer Olympics have been on our TV nonstop over the past few days...i hope everyone is supporting the players...we have been especially watching the swimming and the womens beach volleyball..we are really into those two sports..the gymnastics is also a favorite in our house..it is really exciting to watch our teams do so well..the kids are even into it..we watched the opening ceremonies and we will watch as much as we can! it is very exciting. GO TEAM USA!!!!



The mens 400m relay team...they kicked it at the very last minute to beat France..they won by .12 of a second..they came from behind to win..it was awesome!!!!





the awesom beach volleyball team of Walsh and May..they are so fun to watch and exciting...so far they have won 103 games in a row...they are the best!!!!

Thanks to everyone who voted for Dan. I know there are some who voted in the other party so to oust the current supervisor...and it worked...our neighbor won and so did Dan...now...on to November election..please remember him then on November 5th!!!Thanks.

Cedar Point!!!!

Last week the girls and i went to cedar point. we had a good time. We left on monday and when we got there we went swimming in the pool and walked on the beach; we also ate at TGIFridays.. we had a good night. The next day we spent all morning in the park, the afternoon at the water park and then back at night to the park. We went into the park the next day and came home at five. It was very hot, but fun.

Kaden and hockey!!!

This past week Kaden wanted to try ice hockey....he loved it..we told him if he wanted to try it he could and he did and loves it! He said that he loves hockey more than any sport he has played so far. He is very athletic..he plays hockey, football, soccer and wants to try baseball in the spring. He is the man!!!! You go Kaden...love you tons... and thanks to my girl Amy Nowicki for letting us borrow all of Vinnie's hockey equipment...actually, thanks for holding on to it....you saved us a ton of money!!!!

Detroit!!!

Dan and I went to Detroit a few days ago and went to see Kid Rock in concert....it was one of the best concerts I have ever seen...he rocked for four hours and also included Rev Run from Run DMC and it was awesome...we had a great time. The next day we went into Detroit to see if there possibly was a Tigers game....no luck...but we visited Chelios Bar, Tiger Stadium, Pontiac Silverdome (for some memories) and the new Ford Field..we had a great time...
